Mom’s Box Cricket Tournament
DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur organised an exciting Mom’s Box #Cricket Tournament on 14th February, 2026 within the school premises. The event was specially planned to celebrate the spirit, strength and sportsmanship of mothers and it witnessed enthusiastic participation and cheerful support from everyone present.
The day commenced with a brief introduction to the concept of Box Cricket, explaining its rules and format. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, who appreciated the mothers for their active involvement in school activities and encouraged everyone to enjoy the game in the true spirit of sportsmanship. The tournament was formally inaugurated thereafter, marking the energetic beginning of the matches.
Seven Teams, namely Rising Stars, Dhurandhar Girls, Neon Riders, Sapphire Women’s, Golden Wings, Central Bankers and Powerhit Queens competed with great enthusiasm. Each match was filled with excitement, teamwork and healthy competition. The felicitation for the player of the match was conducted after every match to acknowledge the efforts of the participants.
The thrilling final match was played between Powerhit Queens and Neon Riders in which Powerhit Queens emerged victorious by 2 wickets after a nail biting contest. The event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony where the winning team was awarded trophies and certificates. The event ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all the mothers and organisers for making the tournament a grand success.
