Wheels on Fire' Inter-School Skating Competition 2025
'Wheels on Fire', an Inter-School Skating Competition was hosted by Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur, on 13th February, 2025. The event brought together young skating enthusiasts from various schools across the city, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents and compete with their peers.
The competition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Nikhilesh Tabhane, India's fastest skater, and Special Guest, Ms. Shrishti Sharma, a young achiever and record-breaker in limbo skating. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the support and guidance of Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur, whose visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in education and sports played a pivotal role in making the competition a memorable and enriching experience for all participants. Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur, congratulated the participants on their impressive performances and wished them all the best for their future endeavours.
Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to the guests, students of the participating schools, teachers in-charge and well wishers. She encouraged the participants to believe in themselves, push their limits and strive for excellence.
The event featured six age groups, ranging from Under 5 to 12-14 years, and four categories: Beginners, Quads, Inline and Recreational Inline. The participants demonstrated their skills and passion for skating, with many showcasing exceptional talent and determination. In his address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Nikhilesh Tabhane shared his valuable insights and experiences, inspiring the young skaters to pursue their passion with dedication and perseverance. Ms. Shrishti Sharma also shared her expertise and encouraged the participants to push beyond their limits.
The 'Wheels on Fire' Inter-School Skating Competition 2025 was a testament to the school's commitment to promoting sports and fostering creativity and excellence among its students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, and the school looks forward to hosting the competition again next year.
