Annual Fete 'Fun Velocity 2025
DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur, hosted its Annual Fete 'Fun Velocity 2025' on Saturday, 8th February, 2025. The event was a grand success, featuring an array of exciting stalls and activities that catered to all ages. The students of Grade VIII took the initiative in making the event a grand success. The Chief Guest, Mr. Abhishek Jaiswal, a renowned Fashion Runway Choreographer and Director inaugurated the event. Shri Pramod Shende, our Special Guest, also graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. Although, Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur could not grace the occasion with her esteemed presence, she sent her heartiest wishes for the grand success of the event. Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, DPS Kamptee Road & MIHAN, Nagpur and Shri Indrajeet Parganiha, Bursar, DPS Kamptee Road & MIHAN, Nagpur graced the event with their presence and enjoyed that festivities of the day. Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, Principal DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur accorded a warm welcome to the dignitaries by presenting them with saplings which is a tradition at DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur.
The games zone boasted an impressive lineup of many stalls, including Play Station, Unlock the Lock, Marble Mayhem, Spin the Wheel, Pyramid, Ring the Object and many more. The Food Court offered a diverse range of cuisines, from Pizza and Chinese to Indian Chats, South Indian, and Continental delicacies. Other attractions included Trampoline, Tattoo and Nail Art, Virtual Game, photography, car and bike rides, and a train, ensuring that there was something for everyone. It was a fun-filled extravaganza featuring thrilling games and rides, electrifying DJ beats, and exclusive selfie opportunities at our Selfie Corner and 360 Degree Selfie Booth.
The highlight of the evening was the Fashion Show, comprising two segments: 'Imperfectly Perfect' (Group Performance) and 'DPS Runway Rockstar' (Solo Performance by our Students). Both segments celebrated creativity, confidence and self-expression, with the theme 'Mismatch Magic' taking centre stage. The fashion show was judged by two esteemed personalities, Ms. Neelima Kapuria, winner of multiple prestigious awards in fashion, beauty, food, and diet, and crowned Mrs. India 2016; and Nicole D'Souza, a Gold Medallist from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai.
The event concluded with the announcement of the lucky draw winners for the raffle ticket prizes, which included exciting gifts sponsored by various organisations. The prizes, which included a luxurious one-night stay at #Singinawa Jungle Lodge, Kanha as the 1st prize, a sleek sports bicycle as the 2nd prize, a top-loaded fully automatic washing machine as the 3rd prize, an LED Television as the 4th prize, and a trendy Beatbox speaker as the 5th prize, and many more other prizes were presented to the winners. Overall, Fun Velocity 2025 was an unforgettable experience, showcasing the school's commitment of combining academics with extracurricular activities and community engagement.
