The tournament envisioned by Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro Vice Chairperson, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, #Nagpur, a visionary who leaves no stone unturned to provide all necessary guidance and mentoring to strike a harmonious balance between academics and sports and co-curricular. Mr. Aranya Kedia, Vice-President, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur and Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur sent their best wishes to the young cricketers.
The closing ceremony was a majestic celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork, showcasing the school's unwavering commitment to fostering a spirit of camaraderie and competition. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Suhas Phadkar, former Chairman of the Ranji Trophy Selection Committee, and Special Guest Mr. Rajan Nair, a former Ranji all-rounder and Ex-BCCI Media Incharge.
Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, Principal in her welcome address, offered a genial welcome to the dignitaries and urged the students to take up sports as a passion and career option rather than just a hobby. She applauded the efforts of both teams for reaching the finals of the tournament. The tournament was a resounding triumph, with the final match between DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur and Kale Ashirwad School, being a thrilling spectacle of cricketing prowess. DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur won the trophy by defeating Kale Ashirwad School by 54 runs.
The Aranya Kedia Trophy for the Player of the Tournament was awarded to Manav Rahija from DPS Kamptee Road, showcasing his exceptional skills and consistency. The Best Bowler's Trophy was claimed by Lakshya Nagpal, also from DPS Kamptee Road, while Kavya Umredkar from Kale Ashirwad School was honoured as the Best Batsman of the tournament.
