‘MADE IN INDIA – CELEBRATING INDIA’S GLOBAL IMPACT’
DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Day on 7th December, 2024, with the inspiring theme ‘Made in India: Celebrating India’s Global Impact’.
The event showcased the rich heritage, innovation, and global contributions of our nation, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Guest of Honour, Shri. Niketan Kadam, IPS DCP ZONE-5, Nagpur, and Special Guest, Shri. Ashish Kulkarni, Chairman FICCI, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics Forum & Chairman of MCCIA Animation & Gaming Committee, whose remarkable achievements and visionary leadership served as an inspiration to students. Other distinguished guests included Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, Shri Indrajeet Parganiha, Bursar, Ms. Nidhi Yadav, Principal, DPS MIHAN.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment followed by a warm welcome speech by our Principal Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar. Shri. Niketan Kadam delivered an inspiring speech, commending the students and faculty for organising a meaningful event. He encouraged the young minds to contribute to India's growth and global recognition. Shri. Ashish Kulkarni addressed the students with a motivational message, urging them to dream big and utilize their talents for the nation's benefit. Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, extended her heartfelt wishes to the students through a delightful message. As a visionary leader dedicated to nurturing young minds, she inspired and motivated them to strive for greatness and seize the opportunities ahead.
Highlights of the evening included a mesmerizing live choir accompanied by captivating live musical performances, showcasing the harmonious blend of talent and melody. A graceful classical dance performance beautifully reflected the cultural richness of India, leaving the audience spellbound. A thought-provoking skit highlighted the invaluable contributions India has gifted to the world, emphasizing the profound knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors, achieved without modern technology. Adding to the splendour were vibrant dances depicting India’s various contributions to the world, from Yoga and Ayurveda to Mathematics and Art; creatively bringing these achievements to life. The grand finale, a dynamic fusion dance symbolizing India’s impactful global presence, brought the evening to a resounding close, earning thunderous applause from the audience.
The evening was a celebration of India’s achievements and a tribute to its role on the global stage, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and patriotism. The event was not just a celebration but also a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the values and vision of our great nation.
