4th DPS Challenge 64 Inter-School Chess Competition

The 4th DPS Challenge 64: A celebration of intellect, strategy & sportsmanship!

DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur proudly hosted the 4th edition of the DPS Challenge 64 Inter-School Chess Competition on September 28th and 29th, 2026. The event provided a fantastic platform for students to hone their critical thinking and perseverance on the 64 squares. The two-day event brought together brilliant young minds from across schools to showcase their patience, concentration, and strategic brilliance across three categories: Primary (Classes I-IV), Middle (Classes V-VII), and Senior (Classes VIII-X).

The prestigious event was blessed with warm wishes from Ms. Tulika Kedia (President and Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN) and heartfelt appreciation for all participants from Ms. Savita Jaiswal (Director, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN).

Principal Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar inaugurated the tournament with the ceremonial first move, setting the stage for an atmosphere of deep focus and outstanding sportsmanship. We were deeply honoured to have National Amateur Champion Mr. Pradeep Tiwari as our Chief Guest, who motivated the young competitors with his inspiring words.

Under the expert guidance of Chief Arbiter Mr. Shiva Iyer (International Arbiter), the matches were conducted flawlessly.

The intellectual battle culminated in a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, where exceptional individual and team performances across all categories were recognised and rewarded. The 4th DPS Challenge 64 was a true celebration of the intellectual spirit, fostering camaraderie, critical thinking, and healthy competition among students. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their remarkable dedication on the 64 squares!
