Badges of honour, promises of leadership!
DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur solemnly conducted the Pinning of Badges ceremony to formally entrust the newly elected Student Council of the Junior and Sub-Junior groups, with the responsibilities of leadership. Held during the school’s 20 Years of Excellence celebrations, the ceremony served as a significant milestone, reinforcing the values of integrity, responsibility and the school motto, ‘Service Before Self’. The event was a memorable occasion for the entire school community.
The event commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction highlighting the importance of leadership and the school’s remarkable achievements over the past two decades. The audience was reminded that true leadership is reflected through service, commitment and the ability to inspire others. The Principal, Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, motivating the newly elected leaders to uphold the values of honesty, discipline and dedication while carrying out their responsibilities with confidence and humility.
The Badge Ceremony followed, during which the Principal, Vice Principal, Headmistresses and Area Coordinators conferred badges upon the Class Representatives, House Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects from Grades III to XII. The newly appointed student leaders proudly accepted their responsibilities and later took the oath of office, pledging to serve the school with sincerity, fairness and commitment. The ceremony reflected the school’s belief in nurturing leadership qualities and empowering students to become responsible citizens and role models.
The event concluded with a heartfelt congratulatory message and a vote of thanks, appreciating the collective efforts of the school management, teachers, staff and parents in shaping future leaders.
