The fifth day of the Summer Camp at DPS Kamptee Road, #Nagpur was celebrated as a lively Mid-Camp Fun Day, filled with excitement, creativity and joyful learning. The day began with vibrant dance sessions where the students focused on refining hand gestures and expressions in freestyle and contemporary styles. In Hip-Hop and locking-popping, students successfully completed the first stanza and practised it with confidence. The Zumba and Hip-Hop sessions turned into an energetic party atmosphere with fun activities like freeze dance and battle circles, along with revision of choreography, ensuring active engagement and enjoyment for all.
 
In the music segment, the students revised the first stanza of semi-classical and rhythmic Indian music, strengthening their understanding and performance. Instrumental sessions included slow rock rhythm on drums, the first groove on tabla and hand percussion and practice of intro music on the synthesiser. The guitar sessions focused on main line notation, while the vocal group was introduced to notation and alap, enhancing their grasp of melody and expression. These sessions continued to build musical confidence and coordination among the students.
 
Creative activities were equally engaging, with the students participating in wall hanging demonstrations, 3-D Spring Forest sketching and clay modelling, where they coloured their diya camel craft. The digital design sessions introduced notebook cover designing, encouraging creativity through technology. In Robotics, the students continued refining and showcasing their final robots. The Tech Explorers segment focused on basic coding through platforms like Scratch and Tynker, where the students designed simple games and collaborated in group challenges by adding AI-generated art.
 
The sports sessions remained energetic and skill-based, with the students learning to receive the ball in football and pickleball, and practising stride and backfoot defence in cricket. The handball sessions included warm-up exercises and basic shooting techniques, while the basketball introduced offensive play and different positions. The students also improved their badminton rally skills and learnt strategic moves in chess. The hockey sessions focused on defensive drills and karate advanced to higher-level kicks. Skating helped the students enhance speed and control using the T-brake technique. The swimming sessions focused on coordination through board-supported leg and hand movements, bubble practice, side breathing and short-distance freestyle drills. The day concluded on a joyful and fulfilling note, leaving students motivated and eager for the remaining days of the camp.
