The Steps Students Need to Take to Resolve Climate Crisis
Education is the key to change: Education is a critical agent in addressing the issue of climate change. Education can encourage people to change their attitudes and behaviour; it also helps them to make informed decisions. In the classroom, young people can be taught the impact of global warming and learn how to adapt to climate change. Education empowers all people, but especially motivates the young to take action.
Climate change is the shift of weather patterns and conditions. Needless to say, our earth is experiencing rising global temperatures. We all have heard about the melting glaciers which are resulting in rising sea levels. There has been a drastic change in the climate due to hazardous factors such as pollution, burning coals, industrial waste disposal in the air, etc. All this will result in affecting the environment and its resources. To overcome the issue of climate change, you need to bring social awareness along with stringent measures to protect and preserve the environment.
Let’s Start with these actions!
-Recycle everything you can: Plastic is the biggest problem we are facing. We can reuse plastic by making Eco bricks. The best and the easiest way students can help is by making these eco bricks. We at DPS Kamptee Road , Nagpur believe that - What we stand on is what we stand for! - Reusing Every Last Drop of Water Available: Reuse of treated wastewater can conserve groundwater that is often used for irrigation. The grey water treatment at DPS takes care of the water wastage by using every last drop of water available.
- Do Not Waste Water Turn off the faucet when you’re brushing your teeth or washing your hands, too. Be sure to keep the water off until it's time to rinse. Our children at Delhi Public School believe in What we save, Saves us!! They took efforts to educate every tiny tot too by putting up posters at every water station.
- Plant More Trees!: Trees help to combat global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide, removing and storing carbon while releasing oxygen back into the air. DPS sustainable energy warriors pledge to plant a sapling on every birthday and so shall you all too. One sapling every year by each one of us will make a difference. - Speak Up!: Speak up and get others to join in taking action. Its one of the quickest and most effective ways to make a difference. Talk to your neighbours, colleagues, friends, and family. Appeal to local and world leaders to act now. Students of DPS Kamptee are in encouraged to be connected with the various section of our society act large and educate them and motivate them to contribute to a healthier planet.
These are the ways to reduce climate change. If not implemented, you might see an increase in the erratic weather events, shortage of drinking water, agricultural yields, and impact on livelihood. Therefore, you must focus on reducing anthropogenic activities so that you can breathe fresh air and drink clean water.
